Why Wellness?

Wellness is a broad term that can mean many different things to different people. For me, wellness means feeling good in my body and learning to love myself as I am right now. It means finding ways to feel healthy both mentally and physically, and building relationships with myself and others that are rooted in true mutual respect and love.

We are all unique and have different goals, so the benefits to wellness will vary, but there are some common themes that I think are important for everyone to consider.

The sky is the limit when it comes to making wellness part of your life! You can create goals, habits and activities that fit your personal needs and preferences in order to achieve optimal health.

For example:

  • If you are someone who likes being active outdoors, then maybe you will want to start hiking more often with friends or family members who share this interest.

  • If being active is not your thing but eating healthy food makes up most of what goes into

your body each day--which it should!--then perhaps exploring new recipes would be

something worth trying out on occasion.

  • The best thing would be to find a combination of both: exercise and eating healthy.

The key here is to find what works best for you. We all have different lifestyles, interests and hobbies; so there is no one-size-fits all approach to health.

Are you ready to start feeling good in your own body?

If you’re ready to start feeling good in your own body, then I encourage you to take some time this week and explore what makes YOU feel good! Maybe it is going for a walk outside or meditating. Maybe it is cooking something new or reading a book that interests you. Whatever it is, make sure it feels right for YOU. You are the only one who can decide what makes you feel good. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise!

When we are confident and comfortable with ourselves we attract positive energy from others who are also confident and comfortable with themselves--so it is like an endless cycle of happiness! The more we practice feeling good about ourselves, the easier it becomes for us to keep going (even when things get tough).

It is important to love your body as it is right now.

Learning how important self-love really is can be difficult at first because most people have been conditioned into thinking that there is something wrong with them because of their appearance or weight. But once we begin accepting ourselves as we are without judgment or criticism from others or ourselves, then we can begin appreciating just how amazing our bodies really are!

Are you ready to focus on wellness?

The most important thing is to start small and take baby steps toward improving your health. Start by making small changes to your diet, like eating more fruits and vegetables or drinking more water. You can also try exercising for just 10 minutes a day. There are endless ways to improve upon your wellness journey. The most important piece is to start some where and to pick things that are right for you!

Wherever you start, remember to relish in the feeling that comes with each and every step you take. When we make small changes, they add up over time and before long we’re living a life of wellness! Keep striving toward your goals and remember to celebrate each and every step along the way.
